On Fridays, we come together to pray for a change in the President, and, barring that change; a change in the Presidency.
Today, we are praying that the Oval Office be filled with the fruit of the Spirit, that is, that the President is filled with love.
For 4 years, we have watched a President who only acts with selfish ambition, corruption, and greed at heart, and so now we are praying for a President who puts others first, who loves their neighbor as themself, and who passes policies that show the fruit of the Spirit towards all.

Prayer 1 – God of Love, we pray that the Oval Office is filled with the fruits of the Spirit, and that our nation is led with love, policies are passed which promote peace, and a President comes into the job who will bring joy and justice back to America.
We pray that Donald Trump, a President who has been unkind since his very campaign announcement, would step aside and cede the office to a candidate who is willing to fight for ALL Americans.
Prayer 2 – God of Love, we pray that the Oval Office is filled with the fruits of the Spirit, and that our nation is led with love, policies are passed which promote peace, and a President comes into the job who will bring joy and justice back to America.
We pray for patience for the American people, that we will be able to work towards November 3rd with steadfast passion and provide Trump the ultimate defeat at the polls on Election Day.
Prayer 3 – God of Love, we pray that the Oval Office is filled with the fruits of the Spirit, and that our nation is led with love, policies are passed which promote peace, and a President comes into the job who will bring joy and justice back to America.
We pray for goodness and the Common Good, that the idea of loving our neighbors as ourselves and putting the good of the community first would make a comeback, and that we would show our commitment to the Common Good with our vote.

We pray for the people who have been faithfully working on a path forward from Trump. We pray that their activism is fruitful, that they are reminded that their mission matters, and that that path will begin to be walked on November 3rd.
Prayer 5 – God of Love, we pray that the Oval Office is filled with the fruits of the Spirit, and that our nation is led with love, policies are passed which promote peace, and a President comes into the job who will bring joy and justice back to America.
We pray for a gentler Oval Office. We pray not for a President who pushes us closer to war with each tweet, but a President who promotes peace, gives a gentle answer, and walks in wisdom.
Prayer 6 – God of Love, we pray that the Oval Office is filled with the fruits of the Spirit, and that our nation is led with love, policies are passed which promote peace, and a President comes into the job who will bring joy and justice back to America.
We pray for self-control for Trump, and providing he does not show a newfound restraint, we pray the constitutional control that the American people have through their vote is exercised.
Prayer 7 – God of Love, we pray that the Oval Office is filled with the fruits of the Spirit, and that our nation is led with love, policies are passed which promote peace, and a President comes into the job who will bring joy and justice back to America.
We pray for this nation, and we pray for the people of faith who will be voting in November. We pray that they will not be led astray by Trump, and that they will vote with Faith, Hope, and Love on Election Day.
