On Fridays, we come together to pray for a change in the President, and, barring that change; a change in the Presidency.
Today we are celebrating the fall, socially-distanced launch of the Faith, Hope, and Love for a Change on Election Day 2020 tour. Our bus will be in a variety of Swing States in the upcoming days and months, but today we want to talk to all of you from whichever state you may call home.
So today as we pray for a change in the President, we are specifically praying for each Swing State, that they may go to the ballot box and bring about a change, not only in the President, but in the Presidency.

Prayer 1 – God of Faith, Hope, and Love, we pray for a change in our President, a decisive victory for change from the American people, and a future full of a conscious change with a constant eye on justice.
We pray that Wisconsin would walk into the ballot box and vote for a President who detests discrimination of all kinds, and vote on behalf of those who have suffered such discrimination.
Prayer 2 – God of Faith, Hope, and Love, we pray for a change in our President, a decisive victory for change from the American people, and a future full of a conscious change with a constant eye on justice.
We pray that Florida would fully reject fascism in all of its forms. We pray that in its place would rise a respect for the Common Good.

We pray that Michigan might help move the nation back to a path of civility and conscience. We pray that the people of Michigan vote not just for their own needs, but for the needs of their neighbor.

We pray that Pennsylvania propels this nation to a new peak of kindness and compassion. We pray that they reject a President who so often mocks and threatens, and instead elects a leader who listens with care and acts with purpose.

We pray for Ohio, that they may oust this President who has cast a shadow on the Presidency. We pray that the people of Ohio move us onward from corruption, and instead cast our country’s highest office back into the light.

We pray that North Carolina is not deceived by the dangerous lies of this President, but instead ties itself to the truth.

We pray for all 50 states, and we pray that they will unite to elect a new leader who cares for the will of ALL the people. Until then, we pray for the strength to continue to resist.
