On Fridays, we come together to pray for a change in the President, and, barring that change; a change in the Presidency.
Today we are on day two of Walk the Walk 2020. Walk the Walk is a faith pilgrimage for racial justice, a pilgrimage of reckoning, resolve, and love.
As we invite people of faith, clergy, and faith leaders to join us in this renewed and public commitment to “walk the walk” of race reckoning, resolve, and love, we also want to turn to prayer. Specifically, we want to pray that the Oval Office is turned over to a candidate who walks in Faith, Hope, and Love.

Prayer 1 – God of Reckoning, Resolve, and Love, we pray that you will fill faith voters with a fiery commitment to walking the walk and acting with purpose for permanent change.
We pray that the Trump administration comes to an end with the 2020 election, and that his discriminatory policies may be replaced with a determined path toward justice.
Prayer 2 – God of Reckoning, Resolve, and Love, we pray that you will fill faith voters with a fiery commitment to walking the walk and acting with purpose for permanent change.
We pray for these faith voters, that they act with love and lift up the concerns of their neighbors and community members at the ballot box.
Prayer 3 – God of Reckoning, Resolve, and Love, we pray that you will fill faith voters with a fiery commitment to walking the walk and acting with purpose for permanent change.
We pray for a change from the White Evangelical community, that religion divides itself from the racist regimen it so often holds to. We pray for a true Christ-like love, one that includes and welcomes all.

We pray for a true reckoning in this nation, and a resolve to reckon with the systemic racism that permeates this nation.

We pray for a resolve to advance racial justice in our faith traditions and throughout our nation through voting, organizing, and advocacy.

We pray that voters of faith might reframe the faith narrative in this nation through humble repentance and bold action.
Prayer 7 – God of Reckoning, Resolve, and Love, we pray that you will fill faith voters with a fiery commitment to walking the walk and acting with purpose for permanent change.
We pray for voters of all kinds, that they will see this election as a chance to wake up, stand up, and speak up to the corruption and discrimination of this White House. We pray for a new President, and for a just path forward for our nation.
