Springfield was an important stop.
Friends,
We spent a second day in Springfield, Ohio, today, and it was the last one before we take our Faith, Hope, & Love bus back on the road for North Carolina.
We were here these two days answering the call to stand with the community after ICE dragged Pastor Gilbert Joubert Adrien away from a Sunoco station and locked him in the Butler County jail. A second local pastor was taken by ICE and moved out of state.
Just as we did in my hometown of Minneapolis during Operation Metro Surge, we were here in support of the common good and against ICE brutality.

We’re going to make a lot of stops in the run-up to Election Day in November, and there are only 64 days left.
There’s a lot to do, and not much time left to do it if we’re going to flip the House away from MAGA.
No time to rest! The next stop of the Faith, Hope, & Love bus is North Carolina. Last time we took this trip in August 2024, fuel was $3.99 a gallon. This week, we paid $5.80.

We intend to do a lot of good on this trip, but this bus runs on diesel, not good intentions.

August ends at midnight tonight, and we need to be in North Carolina tomorrow. The folks in the next town shouldn’t be alone in fighting Christian Nationalism.
Can you give $10, $25, $50, or $100 before midnight to get us to North Carolina?
Every donor’s name gets signed on the side of the bus so everyone can see who’s with us. Yours can be in the queue before we cross the state line.
In this together,
Doug
