She sent a letter to Governor Walz — hours after Alex Pretti was shot — demanding access to Minnesota’s voter rolls. She weaponized the DOJ against Trump’s political enemies and hollowed out the Civil Rights Division.
She’s gone.
Kristi Noem was also fired. She was the DHS Secretary who deployed thousands of federal agents into the Twin Cities under Operation Metro Surge — agents who gassed protesters in a public park, gassed students near a high school, and shot two U.S. citizens.
She’s gone.
Greg Bovino, the Border Patrol commander who was filmed shouting “gas, gas, gas” and throwing canisters into crowds of people, “retired.”
He’s gone.
These are the people who designed and executed what happened in Minneapolis. And none of them hold a federal office today.
That matters. It means the federal government no longer has those three people in charge of immigration enforcement.
But it doesn’t mean the people who cheered them on, funded them, and voted to give ICE even more money are gone.
They’re still there. And come November, the American people get to fire them too.
