We rode 3,265 miles to find out.
Jeffrey L Steward,
A few years ago, we got on bikes in California and started riding east.
We rode from San Diego to St. Augustine, Florida — 3,265 miles along the entire US/Mexico border and across the entire country. We crossed that border many times to listen to folks from both sides. We heard life-changing, heartwarming stories and vowed to share those stories all over the United States.
We had one question with us for the entire 67 days — “Who is included in the we of “We the People?”
|
We heard, experienced, and witnessed things on that ride that will never leave us, including that the desert is being used as a weapon to kill migrants.
|
We rode because those stories deserve to be told and we know many people — including many faith voters — haven’t heard them yet.
|
We know a lot about faith voters. We know that a lot of them think one way on Sunday when they’re at church and then act another way when they walk into the voting booth. But knowledge is power. These stories, the stories from our ride, can change that.
Our ride has become a 90-minute documentary film, Who’s the We? It’s done, and it’s going to start reaching people this summer.
A 60-minute version of the film will air on PBS starting in August. And we are touring the film across the country now.
We still have expenses to cover to get the film in front of as many people as possible, both in theaters and on PBS stations, the App, and PBS.com.

Vote Common Good inspires people of good conscience to wake up, stand up, and speak up against MAGA politics and Christian Nationalism. We have a proven record of success moving faith voters away from radical candidates and inspiring them to vote their values for the common good. Please consider a contribution today.
