On Fridays, we come together to pray for a change in the President, and, barring that change; a change in the Presidency.
Today, we are praying for Presidential wisdom as we continue to combat the coronavirus and enter into the final stretch of this election season.
Wisdom is more than just a trait of great leaders, it is a trait that is praised in Scripture. Proverbs 1:7 reads “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”
So far in Trump’s Presidency, we have seen nothing short of a despising of wisdom. Far from promoting knowledge, Trump regularly promotes fake news and conspiracy theories, from touting untried coronavirus concoctions to promoting the prejudiced and preposterous “birtherism” in regard to our former President, Barack Obama.

Prayer 1 – God of Wisdom, we pray that you elevate knowledge over misinformation, competence over corruption, and wisdom over foolishness.
We pray that Donald Trump would seek wisdom, and that he would lay aside conspiracy theories and instead seek competent responses to the Coronavirus Pandemic.
Prayer 2 – God of Wisdom, we pray that you elevate knowledge over misinformation, competence over corruption, and wisdom over foolishness.
We pray for wisdom for the voters, that they will remember that the purpose of the Presidency is to serve the people, and that they will put into power a President who seeks peace and purposefully proposes just policies.
Prayer 3 – God of Wisdom, we pray that you elevate knowledge over misinformation, competence over corruption, and wisdom over foolishness.
We pray for wisdom for our next President, that they might act swiftly to sweep aside the damage of the Trump administration, and instead implement procedures which are scientifically sound and endorsed by epidemiologists.
Prayer 4 – God of Wisdom, we pray that you elevate knowledge over misinformation, competence over corruption, and wisdom over foolishness.
We pray for wisdom for our allies as they deal with our disgraced President, and we pray for grace as they go forward in relationship with our nation.
Prayer 5 – God of Wisdom, we pray that you elevate knowledge over misinformation, competence over corruption, and wisdom over foolishness.
We pray that those who have been gifted with undeniable wisdom, our scientists, epidemiologists, and doctors, would continue to counsel the American people on how to cope with the Coronavirus, and that they would not grow weary in well-doing as a result of our President’s willful ignorance.
Prayer 6 – God of Wisdom, we pray that you elevate knowledge over misinformation, competence over corruption, and wisdom over foolishness.
We pray for wisdom for the Biden campaign, that they will continue to counteract Trump’s fake news with a message of Faith, Hope, and Love.
Prayer 7 – God of Wisdom, we pray that you elevate knowledge over misinformation, competence over corruption, and wisdom over foolishness.
We pray for this nation, that it will be one which knows a wise leader when they see them, and that on November 3rd they will elect to send wisdom back to the White House.
