I want to start this email by thanking you for taking the time to read it and for caring about Vote Common Good and democracy.

I want to ask you to consider playing a very important role in our work over the next six months, leading up to November 3. Would you consider becoming a regular monthly donor to the work of Vote Common Good?

The midterms are six months away, and the question in front of us is simple: how do we win? Here’s what I mean.

This Sunday, May 17th, Trump is bringing a religious rededication ceremony to the National Mall. He’s calling it Rededicate 250 — a “National Jubilee of Prayer, Praise & Thanksgiving” to rededicate America as “one nation under God,” with the sitting president as the officiant. 

Let’s call it what it is. White Christian Nationalism, in broad daylight, on federal land, asking God to bless the man running the country.

Meanwhile, we’re out here doing the actual work of democracy.

We’re rolling through swing districts, sitting down with faith communities, meeting with pastors, peace activists, and folks who are waking up to what’s been done in their name.

They’re tired of being told that faithfulness means voting MAGA, and they’re listening. They’ve watched their faith get weaponized for cruelty and exclusion, and now they’re watching their country get wrapped in the same packaging. 

They want a way out. We are giving them one.

This is the work. And it is working. But none of it happens without the people back home keeping the lights on.

We have more than 300 monthly donors holding this work up. We need 100 more before we can fully fund what’s ahead — 40 congressional candidates across 17 states, the bus, the organizers, the events in the districts that don’t make the national news.

Not someday. Now. Before the most important midterms of the decade, with this administration doing everything it can to dismantle the system and disenfranchise voters.

That’s why I’m asking you to become a monthly donor for Vote Common Good.

Monthly giving isn’t glamorous. It doesn’t make headlines. But it’s what keeps the bus running and the events booked so we can show up in the districts that will decide whether we flip the House in November.

Twenty-five dollars a month funds real organizing — one-on-one conversations with persuadable voters who’ve never been asked to think differently about their faith and their ballot. When someone actually shows up and asks, they are open to change. That’s what your monthly gift makes possible.

Rededicate 250 will come and go. We’re building something that lasts.

Flipping Congress depends on showing up for our candidates between now and November. City after city. Week after week. That’s what we’re doing. And that takes you.

The road is long. The mission is clear. We’ve got 300 of you already holding this thing up. We now need 100 more.
