The common good means running the Department of Agriculture as a resource for everyone it touches — farmers and families, rural and urban Georgians, producers and consumers — rather than favoring the interests best positioned to be heard. My first priority in office will be making the Department’s systems accountable and accessible to the people who depend on them, because good governance means everyone gets a fair shot at being served well, not just those with the loudest voice or the deepest pockets.
