I would use empathy and compassion as my compass and guiding principles, and work to shape policies that lift up every voice, honor people’s identities stories, and experiences, and strengthen our responsibility to protect and uplift one another as a community. Every person deserves to be seen, valued, and protected- and that means we need every voice and experience at the table.
