Emergency Fundraiser For Our Action Partners At The Christian Left
The Christian Left has been a haven for Christian progressives and their allies since 2009. They provide a harassment-free zone for like-minded people to gather, enjoy fellowship, discuss daily events, and participate in taking action on behalf of those Jesus called ‘the least of these.’
Being early pioneers in social media, for the first time in history The Christian Left made it possible for Christian progressives around the nation to interact any time of the day regardless of where they live, even in deep red parts of the country. That was a game-changer. It broke down barriers for tens of thousands people who expressed relief that they ‘no longer felt alone.’
For many years they have been our action partner at Vote Common Good and they have participated in person at action events around the nation. They’ve hosted our daily podcast since its inception and they host all of our events by promoting them and posting the related video, photos, updates and websites.
The longtime staff at The Christian Left consists of Rev. Dr. Mark Sandlin, a Presbyterian minister, Rev. Dr. Chuck Currie, a United Church of Christ minister, Charles Toy, the founder and Executive Director, and a team of admins who curate and moderate online content.
The Christian Left has been invaluable to the community of Christian progressives in the United States during a time when resources have been few and far between for the diverse community. All throughout the pandemic and before The Christian Left has posted weekly live church services streamed by Rev. Dr. Sandlin. They continue to do so up to the present.
Over the last few years the pandemic hurt the ability of The Christian Left to operate, just as it hurt a wide variety of American businesses and organizations. Now that the economy has rebounded they have to dig out to stay afloat.
They’ve been dedicated servants to many for almost 14 years. Now they need our help. They need your help. Please do what you can today.
