What the White House is staging this weekend.
Friends,
On Sunday, May 17, the Trump administration is staging a nine-hour “prayer festival” on the National Mall called Rededicate 250, and they are using taxpayer dollars set aside for the country’s 250th birthday to pay for what is thinly veiled Christian Nationalism.
|
The President will be there. So will Speaker Mike Johnson, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth. Paula White-Cain, who has compared Donald Trump to Jesus, has said plainly that the festival is about “rededicating the country to God” and that the program will not include leaders “praying to all these different Gods.”
A coalition we’re proud to stand with is answering back. It’s called Redirect 250 — nine hours of counter-programming, all day Sunday, the same hours they have the Mall. And you can watch it live.
|
Go to Redirect250.org on Sunday and watch from 9am – 6pm. Forward this email to somebody you love who would like a reminder that Donald Trump, Paula White, Mike Johnson, and Pete Hegseth do not get to keep their faith for them.
And if you can, give to Vote Common Good today. The only way to stop what you’re going to see on the National Mall this Sunday is to flip the House blue in 2026. That is the work. That is what your dollars pay for. Sunday is one day. Our work is the other 364.
