Vote Common Good rally with Tina Burns

Two events last weekend combined religion and politics. One was toxic; the other was uplifting.

The aptly named Vote Common Good rally in Orwigsburg promoted Democratic state rep candidates Tina Burns for the 124th District and Michael Zvalaren for the 123rd.

But first, let’s get the Christian nationalist summit in West Palm Beach out of the way.

After spouting lies and grievances, keynote speaker Donald Trump gave reporters something to write about and voters yet another reason to reject him.

“Christians, get out and vote,” he instructed attendees at Turning Point Action’s “Believers Summit.” “You won’t have to do it anymore. Four more years, you know what? It’ll be fixed. It’ll be fine. You won’t have to vote anymore.”
