What’s happening at Delaney Hall in Newark is worse than what they’re telling you.
Jeffrey L Steward,
Three hundred people inside Delaney Hall in Newark are in their second week of a hunger strike because their food contains worms. They also put down the mops and the laundry and the cooking they’ve been doing for a dollar a day for a private prison company and said: no more.
So Trump’s White House Border Czar Tom Homan went on Fox News and threatened to force-feed them.

When a journalist showed up to document the building protests outside those gates, an ICE agent swung a baton into his camera and snapped the lens in half. They don’t want you to see this. He’s not the only photojournalist it happened to.

An agent kicked a protester into the path of a moving semi-truck. Members of Congress who came to inspect the facility were turned away at the door. Sitting senator Andy Kim was pepper-sprayed.

These are tactics they used during Operation Metro Surge in Minneapolis — my city.
There were ICE convoys rolling down residential streets and agents parked outside of elementary schools, just waiting and watching for brown parents to pick up their kids. We were escorting people in and out of their churches because they weren’t safe to worship in peace.
Federal agents murdered Renee Good and Alex Pretti. Delaney Hall is part of this very same machinery.
Faith voters don’t want human beings to be fed wormy food and forced into labor for a dollar a day while the government calls them the “worst of the worst.”
Vote Common Good is here to make this cruelty cost something at the ballot box. We’re organizing across 40+ seats in 17 states this cycle, moving faith voters toward candidates who reflect their values.
