We are a non-profit organization that seeks to create common ground at the intersection of faith and politics for Catholics by finding areas of agreement based on common ideals, such as respecting the dignity of all people and building community.

We believe Catholics rooted in the Church’s social teachings can find common ground even if their approaches differ.

Our work is based on Catholic social teaching, that which seeks social unity and healing by respecting the dignity of all people and building community. Our mission involves:

  • Bringing people with different perspectives together for respectful dialogue.
  • Advocating for the rights and well-being of vulnerable people most in need of support from our church and civic communities.
  • Identifying ways that God’s love can be expressed best through acts of kindness, service and compassion.

In keeping with Catholic tradition, Catholics for Common Good stresses the importance of thinking globally and acting locally. A national organization will support the organizing, fundraising and communications efforts of state and local chapters who will decide what is best for their region.
