SUMMARY:Faith & DemocracySimi Valley\, CA
DESCRIPTION:Whether you are a person of faith\, a concerned citizen\, or an advocate for social justice\, this event will provide a platform for dialogue\, education\, and action. Together\, we can work towards safeguarding the principles of democracy\, religious freedom\, and the separation of church and state. \nHosted by Vote Common Good and The Greater Things Foundation this seminar aims to shed light on the intersection of faith\, politics\, and the dangers posed by the rise of Christian nationalism. \nChristian nationalism\, a political ideology that seeks to merge Christianity with the governance of the nation\, has gained significant traction in recent years. It presents a unique challenge to the principles of democracy and religious freedom\, as it seeks to establish a narrow and exclusionary version of Christianity as the dominant force in shaping public policy. \nDuring this event\, we will explore the historical context and current manifestations of Christian nationalism in the United States. We will delve into its impact on democratic institutions\, religious pluralism\, and social justice. Experts and activists will share their insights and experiences\, providing a comprehensive understanding of the threat posed by Christian nationalism and its implications for our society. \nPlease join us:
